Course Registration Fee: $1,750
Instruction is a blend between interactive classroom lectures/discussions led by a field-experienced energetics handler and blast demonstrations on the range. In the classroom, attendees will be led through timeline of explosives history through the modern era highlighting important topics like explosives hazards, classification, and practices to mitigate hazards. The conversation leads right up to the demonstrations on Range Day where attendees will be exposed to the effects of energetic materials from each Hazard Division. The range instructors will demonstrate safe tools, PPE, and handling procedures to reinforce instruction from the previous day. Returning to the classroom, instruction turns to regulatory compliance highlighting various regulations, case studies, and mishap incidents causes and prevention strategies.
